Minnewaska State Park

Awosting falls of Minnewaska State Park are pretty cool.  At only an hour's drive from north Jersey I'd say its worth the two dollar and fifteen cent toll. (see tiny person, me, on the bottom left for scale) As someone who has taken numerous geology classes, I should be able to tell you about this cool looking sedimentary cliff, however, I'll hand it over to wikipedia:  "The Shawangunk Conglomerate was deposited over the Martinsburg Shale in thick braided rivers during the Silurian (about 420 million years ago); both sequences of sedimentary rock were subsequently deformed and uplifted during the Permian (about 270 million years ago)".
